Political power.
Data power.
Engagement power.

That’s a lot of power.

The Problem

Civic engagement is all about power in the hands of people, not politicians.

The power to be part of the decision-making process.

The power to truly build power and create the world as it should be.

That’s not what’s happening.

When Black and Brown voters are kept from the polls, it's a crime against democracy and an attack on freedom.

We're fighting back.

Our solution

Using our innovative, data-driven community organizing model we work to bring real democracy to the people, through electoral mapping, compelling messaging and deep organizing.

We have the nonpartisan political power of community organizing. We build relationships with existing leaders and activate untapped leaders to engage voters in every aspect of our community.

We have the data power of science to identify gaps, roadblocks, solutions and success.

We have the engagement power of strategic messaging to equip our audience and get the word out.

Our Impact

This three-pronged approach had a powerful impact on the 2020 election. As barriers to voting mounted in Ohio and Wisconsin, we revealed those barriers using data science and cleared a way to the polls. Together we gave thousands of voters — people who have been historically and relentlessly shut out — a seat at the table and a vote at the polls.

This new model of science, deep community building, and strategic messaging can work in any community, in any city, and in any state.

Submission video

Battle for Democracy has the tools, the talent, and the drive to conspire with existing leaders in our community to transform our communities into fully engaged citizens. The goal is to take back our democracy and claim our rightful seat at the table – in every election, every single time, at every step of the way.

We need you.

With your investment, we can build a democracy of the people, by the people ... for all people.
